Detailed Explanation
To start the machine, you first need to stand on the back plate of the machine. Vermeer Mini Skid Steers have a saftey system that detects when operator is present. If there is no weight on the back plate the machine will not let you use any of its fuctions. However it will start and stay running with no Operator Presence weight applied. Once you are on the back of the machine you can turn the key and start it. If it is cold outside or the machine does not turn over right away, you can use the glow light button and hold it down for 30 seconds. Once the machine is started it is ready to operate.
There are 4 levers on this machine. From left to right you have your black Joystick, Yellow Hydrollix accesorie lever, Green bucket control Joystick, and lastly on the far right your thorttle control. The black joystick to your left controls the movment of the machine. To go forward move the joystick forward, backward to go backwards. The direction you move the joystick is the direction the machine goes. The middle yellow lever engages the hydraulics if there is something attached. Most commonly it is used for the auger attachment. Once the auger attchment is hooked up you can use this lever to engage it. Next the green lever. The green lever is to control the arms and bucket. You will use this to raise, lower and tilt the bucket or forks of the machine. Lastly, all the way to the right you have your throttle that controls how much power and RPMs the machine is producing. When you are operating the machien you want to make sure the throttle is pushed up to give you more power.
Although these machines are small they are still very dangerous. Take cation whenever operating near someone or something. It is best to practice using it in an area with a lot of open space. These machines are very powerful and can cause serious injury if they are used imporoperly.
